What is Mother’s Day Out?

MDO is a ministry of First Baptist Church to mothers of preschoolers.  We desire to provide moms with an opportunity to relax, enjoy friends, and recharge themselves.  We have a staff of dedicated Christian ladies who love children and want to help parents meet the spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and social needs of their children.

Who can come to MDO?

MDO accepts children 3 months of age through pre-kindergarten.

When does MDO meet?

MDO meets every Tuesday & Thursday from 9:30 – 2:30 during the school year.  Children can come one day per week or both.  During the summer we meet on Tuesdays only starting after Vacation Bible School (mid June) through July. 

Where does MDO meet?

MDO meets in the Pre-school area of First Baptist Church in downtown Russellville. 

How Much is MDO?

Again, MDO is a ministry of FBC and we are not here to make a profit.  We try to set our fees at a minimum.  MDO tuition is $12.00 per day per child. Registration fees for the school year are $25.00 for one day per week and $35.00 for both days.  Summer registration fee is $10.00.  Registration fees are non-refundable and due at the time of registration.

What does a day at MDO include?

Of course, that depends on the age of the child.  Each class has a Bible story every day and activities that coincide with the story.  We have a music teacher that meets with every class (except the babies) every day.  We also have an art teacher that works with each class starting with the two year olds.  As the children grow older they begin to work on colors, shapes, letters, manners, following instructions and other skills that will better prepare them for kindergarten.  We also have access to two playgrounds and a gym for free play everyday.
